Rev. Nan's Vista 2023 Special Message

February 2023

“Evolutionary Love in Today’s World”

I attended the hybrid conference for Centers for Spiritual Living from Feb. 20-23, 2023. The conference was not only virtual but three CSL centers hosted live events at their facilities in Santa Rosa, CA, Phoenix, AZ, and Dallas, TX.

This was an amazing conference and I am so energized by everything I learned and participated in during those days. I am sharing the highlights for all of you to have some of the experiences I had.

We have new leadership now.

Rev. Michelle Arellano was selected and hired as the new Executive Director of CSL. Simply put, she will be responsible for the business operations of the organization. Rev. Dr. Soni Cantrell-Smith was elected as the new Spiritual Leader replacing Rev. Dr. Edward Viljoen. Dr. Edward served our organization for the past three years and navigated some of the most difficult years for humanity during that time. He was an amazing spiritual leader. I have great confidence that Rev. Soni will be a super spiritual leader serving all our ecclesiastical needs with Love.

These are the things I want to share with you!

  • ·       Dr. Edward’s final message as Spiritual Leader
  • ·       Dr. Soni’s first message as Spiritual leader:
  • ·       2023 CSL Community Social Engagement Report

And, CSLKenya was awarded the CSL Community Award for exemplifying a strong foundation in Science of Mind teaching, attracting an international teacher core, having 122 students in 17 classes, modification of SOM curriculum for English language and culturally diverse learners and an active School of Spiritual Leadership for ministerial training.

It was also noted that CSLKenya has expanded its teaching into several communities including the SMILE Youth Program for disadvantaged youth, teaching the creative process to women in the villages so they can provide food for their families, and translating SOM into Kiswahili. CSLKenya also has an active online presence reaching out beyond the borders of Kenya and includes not only

classes but support groups such as Men’s and Women’s, Grief Circle, Loving Care Ministry, Visioning and Power Journaling.

I wanted to share their energy with you and the invitation to come to Kenya next year to experience their conference and Africa.

Enjoy their brief invitation to next year’s conference as well as the messages and report listed above on our website.

These are just a few of the highlights of the conference. I hope you enjoy them!

With love and joy!

Rev. Nan
